Ks boss Tommy Williams’ attempts to bolster his injury-hit squad fell short on Saturday.
Kingstonian, who were 3-0 down inside 25 minutes at the weekend, crashed 3-1 at Ryman Premier League play-off rivals Hendon, having been without skipper Alan Inns, Steve Butterworth and Chris Henry through injury.
The recent departure of Jake Kempton to Staines Town and Luke Pigden’s decision to take a break from football for personal reasons also left Williams’ squad threadbare.
Striker Charlie Penny started at the weekend having signed from Welling United on loan, while Danny Buckle came off the bench after arriving from Chipstead.
Williams also secured the loan signature of Welling United’s Malachi Hudson – who spent time with Ryman Division One South Walton Casuals – last week and striker Juan Onieva has made the move from Chipstead.
Joe Robson, an unused substitute at Earlsmead on Saturday, has also returned to the squad after a spell with Corinthian Casuals.
Ks host Lewes tonight.
