A feast of electronic dance music is back in Upminster for its tenth year bringing thousands of festival lovers to the region.

We Are FSTVL is taking place during the bank holiday weekend from August 25 to 27 at Damyns Hall Aerodrome in Aveley Road.

The yearly music extravaganza sees The Prodigy headlining this year's event.

We have pulled together all that you need to know about the festival.

Besides The Prodigy, other big performers on this year’s list includes former chart-topper Example, Grammy-nominated music producer Fisher, Irish DJ Annie Mac who has hosted various shows on BBC Radio 1 and award-winning British techno DJ Carl Cox.

Overall, 60 artists will be taking to the festival’s various stages.

Only residents and in some cases festival buses and vehicles will be allowed to access these routes.

Aveley Road will be closed between Warwick Lane/Bramble Lane and Gerpins Lane between 8am to 2am on the festival days.

Station Approach near Upminster station will be shut on all three days. Only festival buses and vehicles will be allowed to pass.

Ashburnham Gardens, Waldegrave Gardens and Deyncourt Gardens will all be partially closed at their junction with Hall Lane, except for residents who will be able to drive through.

Meadowside Close and Londons Close will also be shut at their junction with Corbets Tey Road and only residents will be able to use them.

A full list of road closures is available on the council website - https://www.havering.gov.uk/downloads/download/966/we_are_fstvl_road_closures

Facilities

There will be toilets and showers at the festival, but organisers have urged visitors to bring their own toiletries.

Lockers will reportedly be available but these must be pre-booked.

Festival policies

For security reasons, the festival website says that all bags must be smaller than an A4 sized sheet of paper. Only one bag per person is allowed into the arena.

Searches will be made by the festival team upon arrival and at other points and the entry will be subject to the visitor’s consent to these.

The festival website claims they have a strict anti-drugs policy and possession or misuse of drugs will result in a visitor’s removal from the event and the involvement of police.

The tickets do not allow re-entry, so once a visitor exits the venue they will not be allowed back in. Walking on the road to the site is not recommended by organisers.
