A fourth person has been charged with the murder of 22-year-old Kai Davis, who was stabbed in the chest in Kingston town centre in the early hours of August 21.

23-year-old Oliver Barker-Perez of Berenger Walk in Chelsea, was arrested and charged with the murder on Friday (November 11).

He appeared at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday (November 12) 

Oliver was remanded in custody and then on Tuesday (November 15), he appeared at the Old Bailey.

He will appear there again on January 31.

A trial has been scheduled for October 2023.

A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police said: “Detectives investigating the fatal stabbing of 22-year-old Kai Davis in Kingston have charged a fourth person with his murder.

“Oliver Barker-Perez, 23 (13.08.99), of Berenger Walk, Chelsea, was arrested and charged with murder on Friday, 11 November.

“He appeared in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, 12 November.

“He was remanded in custody and appeared at the Old Bailey on Tuesday, 15 November.

“He will next appear at the Old Bailey on 31 January. A trial has been scheduled for October 2023.

“Kai died after being stabbed in the chest in Kingston town centre in the early hours of Saturday, 21 August 2021.”
