Commuters would be hit in the back pocket with a Conservative Mayor of London, according to Labour rival Sadiq Khan.
Mr Khan today said that Tory candidate Zac Goldsmith has a "secret plan" to hike travels costs by more than £1,000.

Mr Khan claims that Mr Goldsmith is basing his policies on existing plans which assume fare hikes of 2.9 per cent in 2017 and 4.5 per cent in 2018, 2019, 2020.
Those fare increases would cost more than £1,000 by 2020 for those travelling from Zone 5 and 6.
Commuters in Zones 1 to 4 would pay between £600 and £860 extra, while those who travel on buses and trams would see a £393 rise.
Sadiq Khan, said: "Zac Goldsmith has a secret plan to hike travel costs for all Londoners by up to £1,095.
"Commuters will pay thousands more because of Zac Goldsmith’s fare hikes – just as they’ve paid thousands more because of Boris Johnson’s fare hikes."
Mr Khan has proposed to freeze fares for four years and has rubbished counter arguments from Mr Goldsmith that doing so would leave a £1.9bn hole in the Transport for London (TfL) budget.
TfL has also said that Mr Khan's figures do not take into account the impact of Crossrail.
A spokesman for Mr Goldsmith said: "Zac is standing up for Londoners and his Action Plan for Greater London will improve the capacity and reliability of London’s transport system."
The spokesman also said that Mr Khan's plan would see upgrade work halted.
